A M Whyman RIBA

Chartered Architect

We provide a range of architectural services from survey and inspection work of existing properties to a full design appointment based on the RIBA Plan of Work.

For most domestic/residential work an initial consultation meeting, of around 45 minutes, will be offered for no fee. At this meeting it is usual to establish the client's needs and for advice to be provided about a suitable course of action.

In the case of residential work involving extensions and re-modelling it is important to establish whether planning permission will be required or if the work could be undertaken under Permitted Development.

Advice would also be offered at this initial meeting about the Party Wall Act and if your proposed work may be affected by it.

Following up the meeting a letter of confirmation of services and our fee will be issued.

For non-domestic work services can be tailored according to the RIBA Plan of Work 2013
